Refusing to sell is a great first step. I'd hope we can start challenging and show RVP he is better off staying with us - we have until Christmas....

Boys - the exact same thing happened last season - or have we forgotten that debacle already ?!
"WE will not sell Fabregas, we will not sell Nasri, we cannot be classed as a big club if we sell them" blah blah blah.
We need more quality throughout this team, we've lost a decent squad member in Benayoun but have Wilshere back, thats not enough. I want to see Wilshere doing damage further forward, I also want to see some steel in the middle. There is plenty to be done to this squad, why we are faffing about up front none stop is bewildering. Start looking at the rest of the team, 49 goals conceded should be a bloody worry to Wenger - unless he is of the opinion as long as we score more than the opposition thats ok - which is crap.

Yes, I am getting more and more pissed off that we have not signed a creative midfielder and proper defensive midfielder. Perhaps Wenger thinks that the solution to the defence is Bould rather than players? That might help but we certainly need more than strikers! As you say 49 goals conceded simply is not good enough to compete - to go into another season having not addressed it at all will be criminal. As each day passes and we move towards the start of the tour with no news, I feel more and more angry TWO BLOODY DAYS TO THE TOUR ARSENE!!!!

This is in the typical style of an aging brain. Mind you - not all aging brains. But this one shows all the characteristics of dogmatism, intransigence and self-belief that is more akin to a misplaced sense of righteousness.
That is why Wenger has fallen away from the sharp end IMHO. If we win anything it will be by chance more than design. Steve Bould apart, there is no one in the management suite at N5 who we should keep. The sooner they depart the better.

If we sell RvP to Man Utd, I think we really are in turmoil and have no ambition at all. It's a joke. It's bad enough that we've sold 4 players to Man City, but to sell to United as well - I'd be livid. We make NO real attempt to keep our best players, we just sell to the highest bidder. This is a team who were once our most fiercest rivals and we care more about the fee we would get, rather than us worryingly bolstering their squad whilst simultaneously weakening our own team. But hey who cares? So long as we're developing youth, finishing 4th and have a healthy balance sheet, we can just continue being a feeder club when our best players blossom - we don't need to show any desire to keep them at the club, just sell them, keep the money and buy some second rate player from the French League. Straight out of the bargain bucket. That will surely suffice. That's the height of our ambitions now and I really am struggling to come to terms with the reality of the predicament we're in, all because some idiots see us as a business and not a football club.

Sadly players see the approach we have taken as being that of the business route too Ammaar or they wouldn't have left nor want to leave. Stupid, short-sighted management. The need to get rid of at least Gazidis and Kroenke has never assumed greater urgency.

Did anyone else notice Arshavin in the pictures? my guess is that he will be played in the creative midfield role...its far cheaper for the club after all

I've had it with Wenger. He's either past it or in with the board and that egghead CEO. All of the above I reckon. If we mess up the start of this season I will be calling for his head
