Just in case you guys cared, Benik Afobe came on as a sub for Bolton Wanderers in their friendly against Tranmere and got a hat trick in 24 minutes. Whilst Tranmere Rovers aren't exactly the biggest giants of Europe - or even League One - the hat trick will do wonders for his confidence. And I hate to say 'I told you so' but when some people were saying he was awful and cack etc, I have always been consistent in that he is a very good player with bags of talent. The only criticism he can really have is his lack of ruthlessness in front of goal, but hopefully, today is a good omen that he will have a successful stint at Bolton and come back to Arsenal sharper, stronger, confident and hopefully with a proper striker's instinct. I have high hopes for him. The fact that Barcelona wanted him just before he signed a professional contract with Arsenal shows that he has solid potential. Lets wish him all the best for the next year at Bolton

I'm hoping Coyle does to Afobe what he did to Jack, took a promising(ish in this case, not too big a fan) and made them excellent. Of course Jack was miles ahead of Afobe at this stage though.

Yep - I agree. Contrary to popular beliefs, I do genuinely think he has a good chance of making it at Arsenal. His all-round play is very good, just needs to work on his finishing.

well scoring in a sleepy non-match is one thing - putting a difficult shot away in a cauldron is something else. A good move to get used to pressure, I hope.

Can only be good news, he looks to have the tools. I agree .. Coyle might be able to give him the confidence he needs, playing for Bolton and Arsenal are not the same when it comes to pressure I would suggest.
