Whatever your allegiances or preferences, the plight of Rangers' fans is a sad one of late. Now it looks like getting worse. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18941515It goes on to say that broadcasters don't want to pay for SPL games unless they get rangers games in the 3rd too. But Rangers and the SFL want to hold onto the rights. Rangers cheated and should face the punishments they deserve. If they won trophies by cheating, they should be stripped of them. The rest appears to be greed on behalf of everyone, inc Rangers. I kinda feel sorry for their fans, not the idiots who post sectarian crap on NOT or those who chant it at games, but the genuine honest fans. However, I cannot be totally sympathetic just as I wouldn't if Man Utd did the same.....

I think you are confusing the plight of the Rangers fans with the changing ownership of crooks.....rather like poor Pompey.
I feel very sorry for them. Should clubs be penalised for the deeds of former Directors?

I think you are confusing the plight of the Rangers fans with the changing ownership of crooks.....rather like poor Pompey. I feel very sorry for them. Should clubs be penalised for the deeds of former Directors? It's a difficult one. The old directors should be punished. However, if that punishment is irrelevant to them then everyone gets off scot free and the honest clubs always lose. But, should people go to jail over what is effectively a game? Should that be translated into: Cheat at Monopoly and go to jail..do not pass go, etc? Reductio ad absurdum I know, but the principle is the same. As for the fans, I semi sympathise, but like all clubs that utterly dominate it is hard to feel sorry when the club hits a blip, and that's all it will be. Three years from now they will be back in the SPL and ready to return the 1 horse race into a 2 horse one.
