Photo-REX Mary Tamm lost her fight against cancer aged 62. Perhaps the role she was most noted for was her role as Romana in Dr WhoNot being a follower of the series I never saw her in that that I can recall. However I remember her well in her first starring role on the big screen as Sigi in Frederick Forsythe's The Odessa File.IMDB Profile62, far too young to go, isn't it?

LOL Mr Head Actually I tried another picture earlier but it wouldn't paint - must've been a problem with Photobucket so I searched around for another while the server was fixed. Just as well eh pal? Poor thing, that's the second one gone through cancer this week. Angharad Rees passed away at the weekend

Mary's 60 year-old husband has died of a heart-attack , only hours after her funeral, writing some condolence letters. RIP him too Strange that though not the first of such occasions when a surviving spouse goes shortly having suffered a loss. Perhaps one could take comfort in that they are together once again. It's sad to think we have lost so much of the talent that we have enjoyed over the years, Sussanah York, John West, Harold Pinter, Donna Summer, Whitney Houston to name a few.
