Valentino Rossi will re-sign with Yamaha at the end of the season when his contract ends with Ducati.
I can't tell you how happy this makes me, Rossi for me is untouchable and although he won't be the no1 rider at Yamaha he will certainly have a great chance to win the title.
With Stoner retiring the championship NEEDS Rossi on a competitive bike to prevent next season being the Jorge Lorenzo show.

Yes! good stuff, I dont watch that much MotoGP but Rossi is my favourite rider by far. He's had a terrible season by his standards, though a large part of it is to do with his bike so lets hope he can get back to his best with Yamaha

I hear Lyn Jarvis is already ordering the builders in , make a wall between the 2 riders. It didn't go so well last time, what makes yamaha think it will work this time?

Didn't rossi break his leg that season ? I think that set him back, it was the first time he had missed races due to injury in his career !!! I don't think it was the case that he got beaten by Lorenzo, he got beaten by his injury that season.
The season before he had a ding dong battle with Lorenzo before finally going on to win the championship, he put so much pressure on Lorenzo that the wall went up and Lorenzo was forced into mistakes on the track - I am sure the wall well went up in his final season at Yamaha.
