The Golden Double = 10k & 5k are a spectacular pair- very few athletes have ever done it.... many greats never managed it.
SUPERB.

Great race from MO, really proud of him. I think too much emphasis was put on the likes of Bolt etc and there hasn’t been enough on the long distance athletes like MO. I find these 10K and 5K event far more interesting than the 100m sprints

I was shouting at the telly !!!
Great performance. The sprints are the blue riband events so they will always dominate the news, but we really do need to admire the likes of Farah. As a jogger myself I am in complete awe at what these guys do. I mean, take Rudisha, the man ran 2 laps less than 10 secs slower than 2 world record pace 400m laps !! That is bloody ridiculous !!!! And as for long distance runners, joggers are pleased with 8 minute miles .. these guys are running almost twice the speed !!

can any runners amongst you IMAGINE taking out a 2 lap race at 49 secs for a first lap? A truly amazing speed. He didn't have a guy to set the pace at say 48 secs for him to follow -he had to do it.

In my view Rudisha is the highlight of the whole Olympics.
That was the most amazing run I think I have ever seen.
