With the new signings and potential loan of Sahin, things are finally looking up for us Arsenal fans.
AW and the Board seem to have accepted that the pure 'youth' strategy is not the way to win anything.
We can now look forward to enjoying the season ahead, i understand the first match v Sunderland is already a sell out.
I'm feeling more confident about our prospects than i have since the move to the Emirates.
Can things get any better? What else would you like to see happen?
I'd like to see RVP stay.

I agree Tuffers. I would like us to confirm that RVP, Walcott and Song are staying and that Sahin is coming in though, before I break out the champers. Rumours today that Spurs and Liverpool lead the race for Sahin...

Yeah it all depends on if we can keep Song and RVP while also getting players like Sahin in. We have defiantly made progress with the players we have signed already but to really show ambition the club need to keep their best players and strengthen the squad overall.

I hope RVP, Walcott and Song can feel this momentum building... lets also hope the club seize the chance to push on further!

real competition for places !! We need the guys who didn't contribute to get it together this season. With a decent start ( very important to put last time behind us) we just might challenge the top few ....
Come on you gunners !!!

I think we need to look at a big change in personnel. Losing Walcott and Song won't hurt us if we bother replacing them.

I just feel there is a sting in the tail somewhere with all these signings. Would be nice to still keep our marquee players, Song, RVP and Walcott, but I feel we might possibly 2 or at worst all 3 players. RVP I am resigned to losing, but not Song and Walcott.

As PNE says, as long as we replace whoever we sell the impact should be minimal.

It looks like RVP and Song are off and the Sahin deal looks to have hit a wall. No news of Walcott so we definitely need to strengthen our midfield and attack especially if these guys leave. Replacing Song and RVP will not be straightforward, I dont think we will be able to replace RVP because he is one of the best Strikers in the world and any potential replacements for him would not be cheap. Song would also be difficult to replace though it would be more straightforward than RVP.

I cant believe the club are selling out like this - selling our best player to a team we are trying to catch up with. The false dawn of Cazorla seems to be well and truly darkened.

Selling to one of our biggest rivals in recent times, it shows how far we have fallen if we are just a feeder club to the Manchester teams. The Carzola deal will be absolutely worthless unless we add more top players to the squad. Adding one or two players will not make us title challengers and selling our best players only weakens us. I shouldn’t have got my hopes after the Carzola deal because it seems like we’ve gone back to business as usual and are content with just being a top four side.

I see the tide has quickly turned back against us. Oh well, 1 day of joy was nice, back to the usual 364 days of misery now.
