if true - it suggests he was not pleased at being left little to show his value, or how is he supposed to get match fit? Worse, the travelling numbskulls booing just amazes me. As time goes on - and evidenced by many posts 'over there' our 'fans' get more depressing.....

On Arsenal player the commentators suggested it was the German fans booing him because of the Germany/Holland rivalry .. the boos were quite loud. Do you think it was Arsenal fans booing him ?
if it was they are a disgrace !!!

Yeah, I think it may have been more to do with match fitness.
he looked very laboured.
That was his first action since the Euro's... after the Olympics that tournament seems a distant memory (partly because it was a rubbish tournament.)

It was the Arsenal fans booing, I'm pretty sure of that seeing as it came from the stand with all the Arsenal fans. Watched the game earlier and I have to say I was very impressed in the first half with the movement and the passing of Arsenal especially the front three who seemed to link up very well in my opinion despite lacking match sharpness. The stand out player for me though was Carzola who looked very good, great passing and excellent dribbling summed him up really, and his set peaces seemed to be very good as he laid a pass to Giroud from a corner that was pin point.
We didn’t look nearly as dangerous in the second half once Santi and Giroud went off and I think even Podolski looked better when he was on the wing strangely enough. I liked that Arshavin was given a more central role behind the striker and think that he performed quite well. Gervhino was good at times but his finishing still needs a lot of improvement. Diaby played very well and I think that he could possibly play the Song role in our team, he is a big lad and is physically strong.
I still saw a few things that annoyed me though such as carelessly giving away the ball in dangerous areas which Song seemed to be trying his best to do and the defence still looked shaky at times. Overall though I think we played very well.

No Arsenal 'fan' booed him. Just cretins who read too much of the Sun newspaper.

Its pathetic really, its not like RVP has even left yet so he could change his mind and stay with us. Booing one of our own players is just plain stupid and as you said their not fans

Normally I don't take a moral stance on booing players, if you pay your money you are free to do what you want to do - and especially if the player has been a tool, but in RVP's case I find it disturbing that Arsenal "fans" would boo him, muppets.

I thought Diaby, Song and Djourou looked shaky - no surprise there. Santi looked MOM - Verm and Geronimo had good work outs. Giroud looked like our usual standard - finding it quite easy to hit the keeper with a big open wide goalmouth.

To be fair to giroud, at least he's not afraid to shoot, unlike others (glares angrily at Chamakh)
