Bad news for Arsenal. Bad move selling him to one of our rivals. Very disappointed with the player and the club.

9 years ago, we were competitive rivals and we wouldn't dream of selling them any of our players.
Now we have sold them our best player.
I can't find the words to express how annoyed I am right now.

Yep, I'm pretty fucked off about it too. Selling to Utd is a bad move.
I guess it all comes down to whether we reinvest the £24m in the squad.
It could still work in our favour, but at the moment I am dumbfounded by this agreement.

If Wenger had any guts he would resign.
A complete and utter repeat of last summers fiasco, if Song goes too Wenger will have no credibility with most fans, he has totally misled us.

Yet again, no ambition from the board to keep their best player and they have gone against the manager's wishes.
We have sold our best player to Manchester United and I am distraught.

Agreed - he should resign with this news. How can he work with this club? Days before we start he goes into the season with NO proven PL striker. ALL about the money - we should have known from day 1 that the club were only interested in profit.

Again I can't see how one could be disappointed in the player. The decision is his to make. In our own real life situations I'll bet that most of us would change jobs for improved career and financial prospects. How should it be any different for footballers?
If anyone should be called to account it is our board and management whose policies have led to players leaving. If they had showed more sporting ambition over the years as opposed to this summer, the first in 8, then RvP may still be with us and seen out his career at Arsenal.
Gazidis OUT
Board OUT
Kroenke OUT

I can't find the words to express how annoyed I am right now. 9 years ago Ammaar most of our key players would not have wanted to leave. Now Arsenal have to reinvest the income from the sale of RvP and Song. No excuses, just get the damn money properly reinvested!!!

I just cannot fucking believe it. That's the season fucked and our reputation in tatters. Selling club to our masters Selling to Utd only makes Utd stronger. It's typical of this board and management. They minge over a few hundred thousand or million and rather risk losing a player and they minge over the same sum while selling a player. Had we sold to Juventus a few weeks back since it was quite obvious RvP had had enough, we would at least not be at even greater mercy when facing Utd now. I hope at least there is a clause whereby RvP cannot play against us when we meet Utd.

RVP, he said he wanted to see 'ambition' so we signed Podolski, Giroud and Cazorla. He said he wanted to 'return the club to their glory years' so he demands a transfer.
Could have been an Arsenal legend, now he'll just be remembered as another player who shafted his club for the money.

This is the worst news we could have at this time, 4 days before the first game of the season.
I hate to be pessimistic (honestly) but i can't see any of the money being used to buy another striker.
We have been sold down the river by the Board (again).

We had a FABULOUS chance here to stand up and show the world and our other players that we were a serious challenger. Momentum going our way, good signings. The choice was a simple one - continue the momentum or take the cash. We did the latter again and have been bullied by Utd now on top of City and Barcelona.
Our club is now a joke because of Gazidis and co.
None of this is RvP's fault. We strung him along on a comparitively cheap contract and let this situation arise. By selling him we are confirming to the world exactly what he said.
