www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19086404Its on BBC now so I think the Garzola deal is practically done and he just has his medical left. No medical has been scheduled for Sahin yet but it looks to be promising news anyway. If we get both then I will have to say that this was indeed a good summer for us in terms of spending.

This is indeed GREAT news - both and I will be overjoyed (for the first time in a while regarding Arsenal). Just Cazorla and I will still be happy

"On 2 August 2012 Sahin joined Arsenal FC on a season long loan". This is according to Wikipedia though

Other media outlets are saying it now so it could very well be true.

It's actually looking quite promising on this front now.
If the RVP situation gets sorted quickly (not holding my breath) we could be able to see the shape of a potential line up for 2 weeks time.
No doubt Wenger will spoil it all with his usual 'new players will take 3 months to settle in' rubbish.
Szcezsney Sagna/Jenks Koscielny Vermaelen Gibbs/Santos Cazorla Sahin Arteta Walcott Giroud Podolski
Could be interesting.

If RVP stays then I would want a line up similar to:
Szcezsney Sagna/Jenks Koscielny Vermaelen Gibbs/Santos Song Sahin Arteta/Wilshire Cazorla Podolski RVP
with Diaby, Giroud, Walcott and the OX as subs

We might be able to add the quality to the squad we've needed for so long. There is every reason to be excited for the start- lets hope we can get match work into the prep.

Apprently Carzola past his medical and a fee of £16m has been agreed, he also met with the rest of the boys today so all that’s left is for Arsenal to officially confirm it. Not great news about Sahin if were to believe from the Metro as United are now looking at Sahin: www.metro.co.uk/sport/907451-manchester-united-look-to-hijack-nuri-sahins-arsenal-transfer#ixzz22avZ7VyUEarlier I saw a story that Morhino said he wouldn’t stand in Wengers way to get Sahin on loan and all that was left was a medical, but that story has been removed from the BBC gossip column which is a bit worrying. The other good news is that all the teams in for RVP have cooled their interest in him meaning that he may pen a new deal with us
